RYE PLAYLAND JINGLE

I'm a paragraph. Click once to begin entering your own content. YouIn March of 2008 I received a phone call from Sally Reilly of Rye Playland informing me of the their plans to do a new advertising campaign for Rye Playland Amusement Park and would like to have a new jingle for the radio and tv commercials..."do you think you could write one?" "of course" was my reply and before I could hang up the phone I had the first line:

"Where're you goin' baby? Summertime is here!" It sort of flowed from there.

They weren't too crazy for the word baby being used in a family themed advertisement, but I explained to them that the song had a very "60's" sound to it and that bands like The Beach Boys, The Four Seasons, The Rascals and The Beatles always used that term when writing a song and connecting to their audience.

After making the demo, I called my friend Andy Able and asked him if he would like to record it at his studio in Norwalk Ct. He proceded to contact Billy Januario to sing it and Donna Cherry to help with the backing vocals. can change my font, size, line height, color and more by highlighting part of me and selecting the options from the toolbar.
